B - Body
The car is painted in the original Lotus colour of Ford Roman Bronze and much of the paintwork is original.
Modifications include:

Rear seat Belts
Inside three point retractable rear seat belts have been fitted. The original car is fitted with mounting points for a lap belt to be installed to each of the rear seats. I have replaced the lower mounting points and created a new shoulder mounting point for the three point harness. The inertia reel has to be mounted on top of the rear seat, but it is bolted through the fibreglass shell which is at least a centimeter thick at the point. The lower fixing bolt areas are just as thick so overall the installation is installed in an incredibly strong part of the car.
Boot Area
Most Elites I have seen are a mess here, so I have redesigned and rebuilt the whole boot area. The fuel line from the tank now has a stop valve so any work on filters or pump is easy. The fuel lines, pump, and filter sit comfortably under the floor which sits on a wooden frame screwed onto the fibreglass base. The battery sits inside a new wooden frame that accommodates a 12v cut-off switch, 12v power socket and fire extinguisher. Finally a tool kit is secured to the floor with rubber latches and the whole are carpeted. Overall a huge improvement on the original design.
Also available to fit
Series 2 rear bumper complete with SD1 light clusters as per the Series 2 Elite/Eclat. Never fitted because In the end I concluded the Series 1 bumper looked better!
